The Tuning Fork Tree, a sonic sculpture made of wood and steel, is instrumentalized, used, played and activated in the video It’s the Body That Makes the Sound. The title is a quote from a podcast I once heard about the science of violin manufacturing. I remember the violin expert talking about the impor- tance of carefully constructing the violin’s body, because after all, it’s not the strings but the body that makes the sound.
